Buying British Standards
There are a number of ways in which NSI can help you purchase Standards. As an official BSI Distributor, we can offer you the following two options:
1. You can purchase hard copies of any Standard through NSI at a preferential rate (a discount off the retail price for each individual Standard).
2. You can purchase printable pdf versions of any Standard through NSI at a preferential rate. The pdf sales are covered by a single copy licence which means that PDFs cannot be shared amongst your colleagues, but one copy may be printed. The Standard(s) will be emailed to a single address. If you require a Standard for multiple users, the BSI offers a multi user licence and the cost of the licence will be based on the number of sites and users and is therefore bespoke.
If you have specific Standards in mind that you would like to purchase as either hard copies or printable pdf versions, or have questions regarding the multi user licence, please contact the NSI Accounts Department who will be pleased to provide you with information and co-ordinate your purchase.
NSI On-line Subscription Service
Working for an NSI approved company, you are eligible to take advantage of an on-line subscription to BSI Standards for a nominal annual fee (£167 + VAT) which will give you access to multiple Standards (Terms and Conditions apply).

Opening the Standards
The Standards are supplied directly from the BSI in a protected PDF format to safeguard the copyright. Please note – it is only possible to open the Standards through Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Initially, you may wish to try saving the pdf to your local device and then select ‘Open with Adobe Acrobat Reader’ which should enable you to view the Standard.
Alternatively browsers can be configured to open the files. Note – NSI cannot accept responsibility for issues arising from the configuration of your browser.
