NACOSS Gold Regional Meetings – Background
The regional structure was set up by NSI for NACOSS Gold approved companies in the mid 1990s. The aims behind this initiative are to:
- Provide a means of wider consultation between approved companies and the main NSI Board and its committees
- Provide a regional forum for the exchange of experience/views between approved companies
- Facilitate a platform whereby the views of a region can be collectively put to NSI
- Promote high standards, a corporate spirit and excellence amongst approved companies
- Provide a forum at which invited bodies such as manufacturers and police can speak on subjects of mutual interest
Nine regions have been set up across the UK, each with a Chairman and Assistant Chairman, appointed by the approved companies within each region. Up to two meetings take place in each region during the year which are organised by the Regional Chairmen (and/or the Secretary who takes the Minutes) and who will personally invite you to attend the forthcoming meeting. There is no charge to attend and one representative per company is permitted at each meeting.
In addition to Regional meetings, there are also Regional Technical Liaison meetings and Chairmen’s Committee meetings
