Important reminder for those holding approval for Static Guarding, Mobile Patrol Services and/or Event Stewarding:
By 31st March 2021 all NSI Guarding Gold and Silver approved companies holding approval to BS 7499 Static Guarding Security; BS 7984-3 Mobile Patrol Services; and/or BS 8406 Event Stewarding must complete their transition to the latest 2020 version of these standards and gain approval to the new BS 10800:2020.
All NSI companies should prepare for audit with internal processes and procedures updated in line with the requirements of these standards.
Guarding Silver approved companies will require an extra audit day to audit the addition of BS 10800 and the upgrade of BS 7499, BS 7984-3 and BS 8406 as applicable to your organisation. Your auditor will arrange this with you.

Important reminder relating to ACS:
In accordance with ACS SAW changes to 6.1.4 (Employment records are maintained) and ‘Guidance for Approved Contractors (018)’ ACS Approved companies must be able to demonstrate due diligence in relation to the use of a labour provider/agency during the assessment. If you are unable to do so, NSI are instructed by the SIA to raise an Improvement Need.
Please remember where you use another ACS approved company for the provision of labour you must conduct the appropriate due diligence checks.
