PD6662:2017 + A1:2009 with BS 8243, including System Design Awareness and Grading based on Risk Assessment

This course is suitable for PD 6662 alarm system designers who require an update of I&HAS standards and an understanding of how to determine a suitable Grade of intruder and hold-up alarm system as defined in EN 50131-1 & 7. The section on Risk Assessment covers the gathering and use of information in order to facilitate system design.

A Sound knowledge of PD 6662, EN 50131, BS 8243 and BS 9263 is essential to designers, installers and maintainers of intruder and hold-up alarms. This one-day course provides an introduction to these Standards and includes an awareness of the new requirements for on-site and remote maintenance practices.

Design Installation and Maintenance of Access Control Systems

A sound knowledge of the requirements contained in NCP 109 is vital if organisations wish to maintain a high standard of design, installation and maintenance of Access Control installations. NCP109 is a recently issued NSI Code of Practice, compliance with which became mandatory on 1st September 2013. Although many of the requirements previously contained within NACP/ICP 30 remain in NCP 109, as a result of industry consultation and the need to embrace new technologies etc., there are now a number of additional features included. This short half day course acts as a refresher to NCP/ICP 30 but also highlights the new content.

Design Installation and Maintenance of CCTV Systems

A sound knowledge of the requirements of NCP 104 is vital if organisations wish to maintain a high standard of design, installation and maintenance of CCTV installations and also to appreciate compliance requirements of BS EN 62676-4 where appropriate. This short half day course explains the principles of determining Operational Requirements and applying System Design and System Operational Criteria.
