Introduction
It is important that all individuals engaged in the surveying, designing, installing and maintaining of electronic security systems to meet the requirements of PD 6662: 2017 should be aware of the basic contents of the Standard for Installation, EN 50131-1, and the document containing Alarm Systems Application Guidelines, DD CLC/TS 50131-7. Also, where required, those individuals should have an understanding of BS 8243, Intruder and Hold-Up Alarm Systems designed to generate Confirmed Alarms.
