About NSI
NSI is an independent, not-for-profit, Certification Body, specialising in the security and fire safety sectors in the UK and Eire. Companies approved by NSI are leaders in their profession, protecting people, property and assets. Uniquely, NSI’s Gold approval schemes integrate Management Systems and Technical Standards in a single approval: the recognised benchmark of integrity, expertise and professionalism.
NSI’s independence and impartiality is highly valued. Being accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to BS EN ISO/IEC 17021 and BS EN ISO/IEC 17065 NSI does not provide assistance to businesses with the implementation of management standards or provide any form of business consultancy. We do accept however that some businesses have a need for consultancy advice, but we are not able to recommend or express a preference for any individual consultancy, whether or not registered in the NSI Associate Consultancy Programme.
The NSI Associate Consultancy Programme (ACP)
The NSI Associate Consultancy Programme (ACP) will link businesses operating in the security and fire safety sectors, with independent consultancies, experienced in preparing clients for certification, assisting with implementation of management systems and supporting business improvement.
NSI Associate Consultancies are industry experts, independent of NSI, able to support NSI approved companies and applicants develop their business systems and processes in line with industry best practice and the required Standards for NSI approval.
Benefits of Becoming an NSI Associate Consultancy
Consultancies associated with NSI will be featured on our website, comprising: a description of relevant specialisms, a downloadable marketing brochure and contact details. NSI Associate Consultancies may display a uniquely numbered NSI Associate Consultancy logo on their website and promotional material, and will receive regular NSI technical bulletins and circular letters. NSI Codes of Practice are also available if required.
NSI Approved Companies and applicants seeking help with certification or business development, will be referred to the NSI Associate Consultancy page on our website. Consultancies will be informed by email of businesses downloading their brochure from the web page.
Associate Consultancy Undertaking
ACP Consultancies are expected to maintain high levels of technical and subject competency, and to inform NSI of consultancy service contracts with NSI Approved Companies and NSI Applicants. Each Consultancy will be subject to an annual review, including an assessment of mutual business benefit.
Please refer to the NSI ACP Terms and Conditions for full details.
