Electronic Security Systems – Intruder Alarms – CCTV – Access Control

All Installers of Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control systems install to the same technical standards and issue NSI Certificates of Compliance to customers, confirming the system is compliant with the respective standards and codes of practice.

For a system to be eligible for Police response, Police policy requires:

the system must be installed by an approved installer and awarded a Certificate of Compliance and
the Alarm Receiving Centre must be approved

NACOSS Gold

NSI’s premier scheme for electronic security systems:

The NACOSS Gold scheme is NSI’s premier scheme for electronic security installers. The scheme is designed for companies who are dedicated to service excellence with a combination of technical expertise (complying with the appropriate British and European sector Standards and Codes of Practice ) and business management, by operating an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Systems Silver

NSI’s Systems Silver scheme is ideal for smaller or newer companies and is often used as a stepping stone for those wishing to progress to NACOSS Gold approval. Systems Silver approval requires companies to comply with the same technical standards as the NACOSS Gold scheme, but there is no requirement to operate an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

NSI’s electronic security approval schemes provide approval for all types and sizes of businesses. If you take maintaining high standards seriously and wish to win more business, then NSI approval is right for you.

Technical Standards for Security Systems

NSI can provide you with details of the primary “technical” standards NACOSS Gold and Systems Silver approved companies need to comply with when installing electronic security systems (intruder and hold-up alarm systems, CCTV systems and access control systems). NSI approved companies and applicants are able to take advantage of an on-line subscription to BSI Standards for a nominal annual fee.
