NSI courses are developed around specific industry needs. Our trainers are experienced individuals from a variety of relevant backgrounds with sound industry knowledge. This knowledge includes not only a wide understanding of relevant British and European Standards, but also security and fire sector requirements upon which the courses are based.
Gary Hurst – Regional Auditor
Gary started as an electrician, carrying out an apprenticeship after leaving school. He then progressed to work for Abel Alarms, Britannia Security systems and ADT for a total of 22 years as an Installation and Service engineer on both Fire and Security systems. Gary has been with NSI for 5 years working as a Systems auditor in the Midlands, working with both Fire and Security systems.
Paul Condliffe – Regional Auditor
Paul started a test and commissioning engineer in the mining industry after leaving school. This involved the fire and safety monitoring of hazardous environments. He then progressed to work in the Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Water Industries on major capital projects as both a Commissioning Engineer and in Quality management. Paul has been with the NSI for 7 years as a Systems auditor in the Midlands, working with both Fire and Security systems.
John Davidson – Head of Field Operations (Systems)
After working for 23 years in the fire & security industry, John joined the NSI in 2005 as a Regional Inspector for the Midlands region progressing on to become the Operations Manager and more recently promoted to Field Operations Manager. He has the primary responsibility for the various fire schemes operated within the NSI and represents the NSI on various BSI & BAFE technical committees.
